Retail loss prevention encompasses all programs and activities designed to reduce inventory shrink — which includes shoplifting, employee theft, vendor fraud, and administrative error. VMG's retail LP services include uniformed and plainclothes floor deterrence, apprehension (within Florida law), internal theft investigation support, and employee awareness training.

Both. Uniformed officers provide visible deterrence and are effective in environments where a security presence is expected and welcomed. Plainclothes officers blend into the retail environment and are more effective at detecting and apprehending shoplifters who are not deterred by visible security. VMG recommends the appropriate approach based on your retail environment.

All apprehensions are conducted in full compliance with Florida Statutes governing the detention of suspected shoplifters. VMG officers are trained in proper detention procedures, documentation, and law enforcement notification protocols. We do not conduct apprehensions outside of statutory parameters.

Yes. VMG provides internal theft investigation support, including surveillance coordination, POS exception analysis coordination, and employee interview support. Internal theft investigations are handled with confidentiality to protect the integrity of the process.
